Aeromil is triggered by direct contact, both from individuals requesting transfer to other services and/or medical care. For Amil customers * this must be requested through Medical Support, available 24 hours with Amil Call Center.
Availability of the service

Aeromil keeps teams on duty (pilots and mechanics) at Congonhas-SP and Jacarepagua-RJ, and physicians, nurses, drivers and transportation coordinators, in Amil Resgate units at Alphaville-SP-RJ Barra D'Or, 24 hour per day and 365 days per year. We're ready anytime.

It is necessary to emphasize that the initial planning preparations – the key to ensuring patient safety and the necessary flight permits - can impact on the time of leaving. The person the calls for this service is in a hurry to get started, but we must keep in mind that the time for takeoff on a mission is not always immediate. This is for the exclusive benefit of the patient being transported, and also because of legal obligations to the Aviation Authority, which Aeromil wishes to comply with to the letter.

The normal departure time is one to two hours for air (jet) transport and immediately to minutes when using a helicopter or ambulance. There is always a dependence on the weather, traffic and information relating to the airport/helipad, including if there is there is authorizations for day and night flights. All this can affect the total departure time of the aircraft or ground ambulance.

In this process, the following aspects are also analyzed: approved runways for the airplane or the possible locations for helicopter landing and flight time and other requirements (the hours of operation of certain airports, visual flight or instrument rules etc).
